From Ron Swaggerty, Vice President, written on Tuesday, January 27, 2015:

"Very few of you will ever have the opportunity that I experienced today. A day of passion. A day where men believe so much in their conviction that they chance their very careers for all that they truly are. Not so much for themselves, but for their brothers, known of now and unknown for the future. Unselfish, actually true and sold out to their beliefs. Willing to chance their very existence and span of control on belief. I am humbled beyond words. I see this as a worthy endeavor. I commit I am so taken by this that I feel less just because I have no more to offer than who I am. You guys that work for ADT, your fight, your struggle,my fight, my struggle. Lots of work to do in a short amount of time. I am honored to represent what you did not even wince at, knowing the potential cost to each of you."

2015 Convention Proposals: Make sure your voice is heard.

CWA strongly supports the use of social media sites to discuss and advocate for the important issues facing members and working families today. While these sites offer many advantages, they can also cause serious legal problems if they are not properly used and can lead to complicated legal proceedings as well as potential disciplinary action against employee users. To help avoid legal or other problems, our National office has developed these Guidelines for CWA members to consult when using social media. Please click on the title above to read and/or download the guidelines and share them with any and all fellow members.

Retirees Health Care Explanation_ October 2012

Recently, CWA President Larry Cohen spoke out against the disturbing trend of voter coercion in the workplace, as more and more corporations tell their employees which politicians they should cast a ballot for in the upcoming election. The latest example comes from Wisconsin, where Mike White, the chairman and owner of Rite-Hite, warned his employees about the risks of voting for President Obama. Click on link above for more of Cohen's speech.
