CWA Enters Federal Mediation With Piedmont Airlines

Following two and a half years of negotiations, and with bargaining at a standstill, CWA entered federal mediation last week with Piedmont Airlines as required under the Railway Labor Act. CWA Piedmont members and CWA political activists held signs of support for the bargaining committee.
During the first mediation session, the bargaining team made it clear to the company that one of the main reasons for mediation is Piedmont’s inadequate wage proposals. Team members also stressed deep concerns over Piedmont’s lack of progress on improving benefits for part-time employees, despite having raised this issue repeatedly.
The next mediation session is scheduled for February 24-25.
Solidarity is the strongest tool we have at the table. Send a message to Piedmont Airlines CEO Eric Morgan to show you stand in solidarity with CWA members at Piedmont Airlines in their fight for a fair contract.
